The agreement will see a contemporary-designed hotel take shape
The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) and Marasi Marine Service Co. have reached an agreement to set up a Seamen’s Club at Jeddah Islamic Port, King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, and Ras Tanura Port to offer accommodation and leisure facilities for local and international maritime crew and boost the suite of world-class services to shipping and logistics companies at the Kingdom’s ports.
The deal was recently signed by HE Omar Hariri, President, Mawani, and HE Talal Al-Hamdan, Chairman, Marasi.
The agreement will see a contemporary-designed hotel take shape with a host of amenities and features adorning the state-of-the-art facility including meeting rooms, cafes, restaurants alongside a mini mart and a health and wellness club.
Mawani is keen on nurturing a wellbeing-focused ecosystem that empowers the maritime community to bring their best versions to the fore while rewarding their efforts in building a brighter tomorrow for the sector in specific and the Kingdom in general.
With initiatives of this nature, the national maritime regulator is breaking new ground in its journey to position Saudi Arabia as a thriving and sustainable logistics hub connecting ports across the world in line with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy (NTLS).
