Talks on ways to develop agriculture and food security sectors
A delegation from Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) and the Abu Dhabi Exports Office (ADEX), visited Al Dahra Agricultural Company in Khalifa Industrial Zone (KIZAD), one of the leading firms in the UAE’s food and agriculture sector.
The ADFD delegation, led by Mohamed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General, The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Abu Dhabi Exports Office, included Rashid Al Kaabi, Director, ADFD’s Investments Department; and Khalil Al Mansouri, Acting Director General, The Abu Dhabi Exports Office.
The ADFD delegation was briefed about the functions of the company’s various departments, its production and trade of essential food commodities, supply chains and warehousing.
“Our visit to Al Dahra Agricultural Company is part of our initiative to support the company’s strides in the agriculture sector and to achieve the national strategic objective to diversify the UAE’s economy,” commented Al Suwaidi.
Khedaim Abdulla Al Derei, Co-Founder & Managing Director Al Dahra Group, added that the visit was in line with the Emirates’ national and economic goals to develop the agriculture sector and enhance the sustainability of food security, which are considered essential to strengthen and diversify the national economy.
